Tahoe BAHM For Charity

Tahoe BAHM for Charity | Photobooth

Congrats and big thanks for the Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce for their efforts to support our community. Our chamber hosts a monthly Business After Hours Mixer (BAHM) once a month.  Once a year, they have a BAHM for Charity and I am always honored to donate my photo booth to the cause.   This year’s BAHM for Charity raised money and food donations for local charities Christmas Cheer and St. Theresa’s Bread and Broth 4 Kids!  In total, the successful event raised $800 from raffle ticket sales, over 10 bags of food items toward both Bread & Broth and Christmas Cheer, and, in addition, the Tahoe Chamber donated almost $1,200 from ticket sales to the two non-profits.

Here’s a few of my favorites from the evening, but you can see the rest by following this link.

Holiday Party Photobooth | TRPA

You know it ain’t a Tahoe party without a Lauren Lindley photobooth!  The TRPA certainly agrees and they were excited to have our photobooth at their annual holiday party this year.  It was certainly a festive occasion and we brought out all the fun holiday themed props for the event.  Here’s a few of our favorites from the evening, but if you attended the event, you can view the entire gallery via this link.

Word Wave Gala | Steampunk Photobooth

This past fall, Tahoe was lucky enough to be the location for a confluence of artists and authors for the first WordWave Festival at Tahoe’s historic Valhalla Grand Hall.  Writers, musicians, and performers from around the country shared their talent and spoke at a variety of panels and classes over the three day event.  There were readings, workshops, plays, open mics, guided hikes, oral storytelling, and a Steampunk themed gala and fundraiser one evening.  One of the festival organizers is a huge fan of my photobooth and she asked if I would be willing to donate the booth to the fundraising gala and of course I agreed!  Since it was a costume party, I decided that a seamless white backdrop would show off everyone’s amazing costumes best and the booth was a huge hit.  Here’s a few of my favorites from the evening, but you can see the entire gallery via this link.

Speakeasy Photobooth

Speakeasy | Roaring 20’s Photo Booth

This is how far behind I am on posting blog posts: I haven’t even posted photos from my own birthday party.  Seriously.  It was in June.

If you aren’t aware (I’m not sure how that’s possible if you even remotely consider yourself my friend) I started hosting theme parties for my birthday a few years ago.  It started with The Country Club, a smallish soiree with about 40 folks.  When 100 people showed up the next year to Bicycle Rodeo, I knew I’d outgrown house parties.  When 200 people showed up to Prom the following year, I was blown away.  Last year was an 80’s theme and nowawadays, I’ve grown my party repertoire to include a sometimes annual Masquerade Ball (photos from this year coming to the blog soon!).

This year was no exception to the awesomeness that is my birthday party and I must say, people really brought the goodness.  I hosted a Roaring 20’s Speakeasy themed party.  With jazzy tunes spun by Ascent DJ Dave Berkman and his awesome assistant Grant Stewart, aka DJ Gift.  A super huge shout out and thanks to my awesome stylists, Katie and Kathy at Tahoe Salon Be.  These two rad ladies were responsible for making me look SO amazing and did my hair and make-up for the event.

Next year’s theme isn’t totally decided, but I think I’m leaning towards 90’s.

You can check out all the Roaring 20’s Photo Booth photos via this link.

Mammoth Photo Booth | PSIA Western Spring Convention

It’s not every day that Glen Plake gets in my photo booth.  That happened.

Each year at the 2nd night of the Annual PSIA Western Spring Convention there is a wonderful dinner at the Mammoth Ski Lodge accompanied by a silent auction, DJ and of course, our Photo booth.  This year the theme was Rock’n’Roll 50s and a few of us dressed the part.

Thanks to all who participated and joined in on the fun in our Mammoth Photo Booth.  Here are a few of my favorite photos from the evening.  As always, the link to the full gallery will remain on my website under the 2014 Photo Booth tab.  Head on over to the gallery via this link to download your photos, share to social media or order prints.

Mammoth Photo Booth | PSIA Western Spring Convention

Last year, I partnered with the Western division of PSIA to offer my services as a Mammoth photo booth operator at their Spring Convention in Mammoth Lakes, CA.   We had such an amazing time that I was absolutely eager to return and provide our services again.  The convention is multiple days of ski and snowboard instructor clinics for the Professional Ski Instructors of America & American Association of Snowboard Instructors.  This year, the first night, the convention hosted a really wonderful happy hour, dinner and party at Lakanuki’s Tiki Bar in the Mammoth Village.   This was the first year they offered to host us and I must say, their service, food and ambiance for the Hawaiian themed luau party was absolutely perfect.

To the surprise and delight of some, we’ve had Christmas in April this year and the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, from Mammoth Lakes to Tahoe, received up to three feet of snow in some areas from Thursday night into Saturday morning!   Instead of just having a luau, Bri and I were joking with guests that we were having an arctic luau.  I love all the photos of attendees covered in snow with leis on!

German Sparkle Party - April 12, 2014

Tahoe Photo Booth | German Sparkle Party

When a Tahoe local I hadn’t yet met threw a German Sparkle Party for her birthday last year, I was so jealous that I of course hunted her down, invited myself and all of my friends, and set up an extremely successful photo booth.  It was such an amazingly awesome time that she decided to reprise the party for the 2nd year in a row.  The sparkliness was amped up by a factor of 10, the costumes above and beyond, and the Tahoe Photo Booth that I set up, well, lets just say that we managed to up the total by more than 100 photos over last year.

I’m fairly certain that there is nothing better than a raging dance party accompanied by massive amount of sequins, chafing aside.

If you attended Kristel’s German Sparkle Party, you may view the entire gallery of photos via this link.   She can share the password with you.  As always, a link to the gallery will also remain up on my 2014 Photo Booth tab here on my website.

If you didn’t get to attend or are very confused about the entire theme, here are a few of my favorites from the night that may or may not convince you that you also need to attend a German Sparkle Party.

Ya, we like to dancey dance.

Tahoe Photo Booth | Rose + Cobb + JR

In true Tahoe fashion, my pregnant friends had a raging party as their baby shower, complete with drunken antics, a DJ, and such a serious dance party that days later I still have knots the size of softballs in my calves.  Of course, a Tahoe Photo Booth was required and well…it got a little crazy.

If you were a guest at the Daiek Baby Shower extravaganza at which I got so drunk I forgot the bar where I throw all my parties is cash only and still owe them $20 AND subsequently was so hungover the next day I had to order both tofu soup AND hangover noodles, or you just want to check out the ridiculousness that is our lives, you may view the full gallery via this link.

I have no idea where the banana came from.

Dallas Photo Booth | DW Carter High School Class of ’68 & ’69 Reunion

I’m officially a traveling photo booth.

Just before vacation, I headed back down south to Dallas, TX to run a photobooth for the DW Carter Class of ’68 and ’69 High School Reunion.  Full disclosure: my mother is on the reunion planning committee.  They kept calling and asking questions about what various local photo booth operators were offering and charging and finally I just said, “Well, hell, just pay me and I’ll fly down.”

It was totally worth it.  Evidence:

If you want to check out more photos from their awesome booth or attended the reunion and would like to download free copies of your photos, you may do so via this link.  As always, you can always find a link to the gallery under the appropriate year of the PHOTO BOOTH TAB here on my website.

Dallas Photo Booth | Inappropriate T-Shirt Party

I went to Dallas last month (again, I know, what the hell is wrong with me) to run a 20k with Maddie for K’s for Keegan.  I almost missed the start of the race thanks to family antics and I totally illegally parked but thankfully the nice guy at Ross and Greenville Automotive didn’t tow my car out of his parking lot.  If you need any auto work done, he appears to be the awesomest mechanic in the world.  What kind of mechanic gets five stars reviews on yelp?  You should go give him some business.

While I was there, K convinced me to go with her to a birthday party for a girl we went to high school with.  I didn’t want to go at first but I’m SO glad I did.

Theme of the party: Inappropriate T-Shirts and Moustaches

The last time I went to Dallas I lugged my camera around and never used it once.  I almost didn’t bring it on this trip either and decided I might as well.  I’m very happy I did.  Had I left it behind, this kick ass impromptu photo booth would have never happened.

If you want to see all the photos from the corner photo booth which I very aggressively made everyone get into, you may do so via this link.
