Idle Hour Wedding | Lake Tahoe, CA | Greg + Daphne

By |April 17th, 2023|Tahoe, wedding|

First thing you need to know about these Greg and Daphne: they are bold and adventurous. Daphne wanted nothing but snow on her wedding day and snow she got. In fact, what they got was an absolute downright blizzard. I'm not sure why they bothered to do their hair, but it felt right so they went with it. Daphne and Greg are very clearly surrounded by people who love them very much because every guest accommodated their wacky winter Idle Hour wedding with few complaints. I can assure you though, everyone had very cold hands.

San Antonio Wedding Photographer | John + Eileen

By |April 3rd, 2023|texas, Travel, wedding|

I consider it to be the highest honor to be hired by friends and family. When my college friend and dorm-mate, Eileen, reached out to me to tell me that she was getting re-married and that she would like to hire me, it was such a tremendous compliment. It is no question that when friends and family members choose to hire you, it clearly indicates their support and belief in your skills and expertise so I thank Eileen for that. Triple S Ranch Wedding | Calistoga, CA

By |March 27th, 2023|California, wedding, Wine|

Sarah and Nathan picked quite possibly the best wedding venue in Napa, CA. It’s beautiful. It’s unique. It’s luxurious without being pretentious. It has all the elements a venue needs to make your wedding day unforgettable. From the stunning views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains to the exquisite gardens and elegant indoor spaces that make you feel like you’re in a villa in Italy, this venue has it all. I fell in love with both Calistoga and the rolling hills of this Triple S Ranch wedding and you will too.

Dripping Springs, located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, is a perfect destination wedding location and one that I personally would love to visit more often! From breathtaking natural beauty to top-notch wedding venues and accommodations, and a wealth of breweries, wineries, and distilleries, Dripping Springs has everything you need to make your wedding a memorable and enjoyable experience for you and your guests, whether they are coming from Austin or farther. Planning a wedding is a CHALLENGE.  You may be overly excited about your engagement, only to discover when it comes to wedding planning all the fun seems to be leaching out of the process, leaving you languishing and overwhelmed. Sound familiar? I'm here to tell you that when it comes to planning a wedding, especially a destination wedding, there are plenty of benefits to opting for a small, intimate micro-wedding. Deer Park Villa Wedding | Michael + Shannon

By |December 19th, 2022|wedding|

When I finally delivered Michael and Shannon's Deer Park Villa wedding gallery to them, Michael told me that it it "felt like a friend" had captured their wedding. "You caught the moments a close friend would have caught for me." What a wonderful compliment that is. I have to be honest though - it was easy to make the Deer Park Villa look stunning because, to be frank, it's an incredibly stunning venue tucked away into the charming af town of Fairfax, CA.

Camp Galilee Summer Camp Wedding | Rachael + Garrett

By |November 7th, 2022|camping, Tahoe, wedding|

A summer camp wedding is the perfect destination wedding for the client who wants a relaxed, but all encompassed vacation weekend for their celebration. A relaxing destination wedding at an established summer camp like Camp Galilee allows everyone to enjoy an extended amount of time socializing, but in a more budget friendly way and, better yet, all on the same property. For Rachael and Garrett, who both previously worked at Camp Galilee, it was the perfect location because it is a place near and dear to both their hearts.

While your photographer will be happy to help you create a timeline of the day based on photos, it’s really up to you or (preferably) your wedding coordinator to create a full-fledged timeline. Tahoe South of North Brewing Wedding | Matt + Patrice

By |September 12th, 2022|Death, Tahoe, wedding|

Matt and Patrice have been together for all of their adult lives. They never originally intended to marry, feeling together wholly outside of convention and societal norms. Patrice's late mother, however, wanted nothing more than to see them commit their lives together in the bond of marriage and when she was diagnosed with an aggressive terminal illness, Matt and Patrice planned a wedding. Patrice's mother never saw her marry - she passed on the day of their original elopement during the year of Covid lockdowns. They made a pledge that they would celebrate surrounded by the people they love and one year later, Matt and Patrice renewed their vows in the best way they knew how - with a grand party in Lake Tahoe with a Tahoe South of North Brewing Wedding, absolutely surrounded by all their friends and family.  More from their Basecamp Hotel destination wedding in South Lake Tahoe is up on my blog today.
