Week 3 of Live at Lakeview brought local America Roots-Rock band The Sierra Drifters to the stage, along with San Francisco based headliners Tracorum. Their blend of Rock, Soul and R&B had even the swimmers in the lake dancing in the water!
This week brings someone from my home state, Grammy Nominated Randy McAllister to the stage. Expect some Texas tall tales and blues in your evening with him at the helm! Opening is the McCoy Tyler Band, a Santa Cruz, CA based progressive acoustic trio that fuses folk, bluegrass, country and blues.
It’s not often that we have Texas country up on the stage here at Live at Lakeview so I’m particularly excited for this week’s event. Visiting Tahoe? There’s no better way to spend the evening with your friends and family than watching the sun go accompanied to live music down at Live at Lakeview! Pick up picnic supplies or dinner to go from nearby Sprouts Cafe and join the Tahoe South community for our free weekly event!
Check out free music here in Tahoe South every Thursday from 4:30-8:30 PM at Lakeview Commons from June 26th-August 28th. Please ride your bike and utilize the free bike valet or find plenty of parking at the SLT Parks and Recreation Department on Rufus Allen Blvd. The proceeds of all sales of alcohol from the beer garden support the series and I encourage you to either imbibe in the garden or make a donation in one of the donation boxes around the Commons Area on the night you attend. As always, Live at Lakeview is a free community event. Please be aware of the following city ordinances in Lakeview Commons Park: no dogs, no outside alcohol and no smoking.
You can find my weekly wrap ups, photos and previews of the next concert all summer long here and on Tahoe South.
