My name is Lauren

& I want to take your picture.

I want to laugh with you. I want to be adventurous with you. I want to have a drink, or three, with you. I want my pictures to tell the story of my new friends. I am a South Lake Tahoe wedding photographer and portrait photographer also specializing in commercial photography, special events and adventure photography. I love capturing people in their element, whether it’s with the people they love or doing what they love.

What I Do

South Lake Tahoe Wedding Photography

I love candid moments, dance floors, and fun. No matter how you’ve planned it, your big day is going to unfold naturally. My trained, photojournalistic eye gravitates toward the genuine, sometimes emotion-fueled moments, and nothing makes me happier than highlighting the fact that real life isn’t posed. While focused on Lake Tahoe wedding photography, I will travel too.

South Lake Tahoe Portrait Photography

I want you to feel at home in your photographs. If it’s an engagement session, it should feel like going on a date (happy hour included). If I’m photographing a family, I want it to involve activities for your kids. We might scramble on rocks, climb in trees, or splash in Lake Tahoe. No matter what the situation, it’s going to be a collaborative effort that lets your personalities shine.

South Lake Tahoe Photo Booth Photos

The first photo booth I ever set up was for an event I was hosting. It allowed my guests to get a little bit zanier than normal (especially with alcohol involved), and it was such a fantastic and fun addition I now firmly believe it’s not a party without a photo booth! Our Reno Tahoe Photo Booth rental includes custom themes, an attendant manned booth and promises to make your event a party.

South Lake Tahoe Commercial Photography

I am available to fulfill the lifestyle photography needs of editorial, commercial, and corporate clients with a modern approach rooted in photojournalism. I value the importance of customer service, planning, and research on all my commercial shoots. Clients include Ski Lake Tahoe, Station House Inn, Harper Soul Provisions, Harrahs and Harveys Reno/Tahoe and more!

Buck Tradition: Why to Have a First Look on Your Wedding Day

We have all seen the videos.  You know the ones: the video from the perfect wedding day, where the wedding party is already behind the altar and those adorably precocious flower girls have just dropped the last rose petal with perfect attitude.  Dramatically, the music stops.  It stops just long enough for the officiant to ask everyone to stand. The song begins and the entire crowd draws what seems to be a single anticipatory breath as the bride appears to take her first step down the aisle.  But wait!  The camera only spends a second on the bride, because it immediately zooms in to that magical moment where the waiting partner has their mouth open and a single teardrop rolls down their face and passionately falls to the ground.  That is the moment: that moment of surprise that everyone prays will bring that exact same response on their wedding day.

Basecamp Hotel Wedding | South Lake Tahoe, CA | Philbert + Ming

Once upon a time there was a bride that broke her foot just weeks before her wedding. She didn't let it cramp her style though! Philbert and Ming had a perfectly relaxed outdoor summer wedding at Basecamp Hotel in South Lake Tahoe, completely with lawn games, a raucous late night dance party and great beer.
