Basecamp Hotel Wedding | South Lake Tahoe, CA | Philbert + Ming

Just mere weeks before their impending Basecamp Hotel wedding day, Ming broke her foot playing tennis.  It was a testament to how incredibly chill she is that it didn’t even faze her. In fact, you might argue that it heightened the memories and experience of her day. She was carried into her first look, carried out of her ceremony, carried up to her sweetheart table, carried through the dancefloor. She was literally carried into the first moments of their new life together and it was AWESOME.

Ming and Philbert were wed in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony on Lakeside Beach at the perfect time.  After that, everyone walked a few blocks down the street to the Basecamp Hotel which may be my new favorite Tahoe wedding venue!  Basecamp is the kind of place where you kick your feet up in adirondack chairs, play lawn games on astroturf, and sip beers while laughing with friends as the sunsets and the day wiles away.  It requires hardly any additional decorations or flowers because it’s so damn adorable and Philbert and Ming really let it shine with minimal decor set up thanks to my favorite A-team member Christ Nassar of Epic Thyme Events. Ming and Philbert’s parents gave incredibly touching toasts. Her dad had hand painted meaningful pottery for them to start their new life together that was absolutely stunningly beautiful.

At the end of the day, this was still one of my absolute favorite weddings from last summer.  We had all my favorite people on hand, including Ryan Palmer from Lake Tahoe DJ and Jason Chesebrough from Videoquest Productions!
