Y'all means all! It's pride month y'all, and I'm here to help celebrate it. As a wedding photographer, it is my privilege (and thrill) to capture the essence of love in all its forms. I believe that every couple deserves to have their unique story told and cherished through great images. Wedding planning can be an enormously stressful undertaking all by itself, but when you add in the additional worry that you might not be treated fairly, or have your concerns taken seriously, it just exasperates the stress. In celebration of Pride Month, here are some LGBTQ+ friendly wedding resources for all y'all.

This past month I had the good fortune of working for an amazing organization and capturing their event at the AT&T Conference Center in Austin, TX. Any day that my job is capturing the dedication of organizations whose vision is to promote sustainability is a great day in my books! Thanks to my event photos, these awesome companies are able to make their movement and vision more tangible, engaging, and relatable to a broader audience.

Reno Commercial Photographer | We are MidTown Project

By |May 22nd, 2023|Commercial Photography|

MidTown Reno is a membership-based organization that promotes the cultural diverseness of this artistic district while aiming to keep its neighborhood feel and local vibe. The organization had an idea up its sleeve and wanted to create a short marketing video that highlighted the diversity of the people that live and work in the district itself.  Videos have become one of the most powerful and effective ways to connect with potential customers and promote your small business, and while they can provide numerous benefits, including increased brand awareness, engagement, and sales, they can also be very costly. The brains behind the marketing over at MidTown District came up with a solution to their problem - they decided to utilize high-quality still photos as the foundation of their video content. Cue ME.

A Sophisticated Soiree: A Metropolitan Club of San Francisco Wedding

By |May 15th, 2023|wedding|

Pat and Tony have an unusual story and one that I find enthusiastically filled with adventure, love, and above all, friendship. They began as coworkers for close to thirty years, but when a few years after Tony was widowed, he and Pat molded their longstanding friendship into a romantic one. Today, they are both retired and love to travel endlessly, with Australia and Fiji already checked off their lists and trips to Buenos Aires and Antarctica coming up. I chided Pat when she originally reached out that there was “romantic hope for me yet” as it was her first marriage, which led to a conversation about how difficult it is to give up a lifetime of independence for shared compromise. That being said, it would appear that despite the battle for compromise, these two are going to spend the rest of their lives together in grand adventures.

Idle Hour Wedding | Lake Tahoe, CA | Greg + Daphne

By |April 17th, 2023|Tahoe, wedding|

First thing you need to know about these Greg and Daphne: they are bold and adventurous. Daphne wanted nothing but snow on her wedding day and snow she got. In fact, what they got was an absolute downright blizzard. I'm not sure why they bothered to do their hair, but it felt right so they went with it. Daphne and Greg are very clearly surrounded by people who love them very much because every guest accommodated their wacky winter Idle Hour wedding with few complaints. I can assure you though, everyone had very cold hands.

San Antonio Wedding Photographer | John + Eileen

By |April 3rd, 2023|texas, Travel, wedding|

I consider it to be the highest honor to be hired by friends and family. When my college friend and dorm-mate, Eileen, reached out to me to tell me that she was getting re-married and that she would like to hire me, it was such a tremendous compliment. It is no question that when friends and family members choose to hire you, it clearly indicates their support and belief in your skills and expertise so I thank Eileen for that. Triple S Ranch Wedding | Calistoga, CA

Sarah and Nathan picked quite possibly the best wedding venue in Napa, CA. It’s beautiful. It’s unique. It’s luxurious without being pretentious. It has all the elements a venue needs to make your wedding day unforgettable. From the stunning views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains to the exquisite gardens and elegant indoor spaces that make you feel like you’re in a villa in Italy, this venue has it all. I fell in love with both Calistoga and the rolling hills of this Triple S Ranch wedding and you will too.
