I have a tendency to over work, over fun, over exercise, over extend myself in the summer. This summer is no different. In an effort to try to maintain somewhat of a healthy schedule, I hereby am committing myself to cooking at home and staying at home at least two nights of the week. This is actually going to be somewhat of a lofty goal for me.

Maybe I’ll read more.

Last night’s accomplishment: seared scallops with haricot verts

After I ate this delicious dinner, I mowed through two bowls of cereal, two string cheeses, three glasses of wine and two episodes of How I Met Your Mother.

I also totally cheated last night and made my friends come over and have drinks with me. I’m fairly certain that defeats the purpose of Lauren Quiet Time.
