Every summer, the serene Zephyr Lodge in Liberty Lake, WA, transforms into the vibrant epicenter of the Stone Family Field Trip—a weekend filled with music, connection, and unforgettable moments. This year’s event was no exception, featuring an incredible lineup of artists including Allen Stone, Jesse Gold, Mac Ayres, and Swatkins and the Positive Agenda. From intimate acoustic performances to electrifying full-band sets, each act brought their unique style to the stage, creating a one-of-a-kind experience against the stunning lakeside backdrop. As always, the Stone Family Field Trip showcases the magic that happens when creativity and community come together in perfect harmony. It's one of my favorite weeks of the year!

It’s no small secret that I love photographing music, whether it’s the chaos of SXSW or the soulful vibe of Bluesapalooza in Mammoth Lakes, CA. Each artist brought something special to the festival, from Trombone Shorty’s New Orleans brass to Grace Bowers’ youthful, guitar-driven blues. As a Mammoth event photographer, my mission is to preserve the atmosphere, excitement, and essence of festivals like Bluesapalooza by creating images that accurately reflect the feeling and energy of the event.
June is my favorite month of the year – and not just because it’s my birthday month – but also because it’s PRIDE month! It’s a month of rainbows, parades, and celebration as communities worldwide come together to honor inclusivity, diversity, and the fabulous rainbow that is the LGBTQ community. I love it! A few years ago, I started participating in activities with Tahoe Pride. For one, to support my friends who are part of the community, and second, to make sure that our LGBTQ community understood that they have allies in our town. Our Tahoe Pride community is small but mighty, full of great people that I’ve come to call friends. They have a weekly mixer on Tuesdays (often with a game night theme) that I attend regularly, but in June they really kick the scheduling up a notch! If you want to help celebrate South Lake Tahoe Pride Events, there is something happening every week of June.
New Orleans is without a doubt my favorite city in the world - and I have been to a lot of places! I'm lucky to call it a part-time home since I have family that lives there. I have been a traveling corporate event photographer for over a decade now, serving events such as SXSW in Austin, the NICC in Reno, CES in Las Vegas, and more. When I was hired by Bluegreen.org to photograph their Austin event, SPC Impact, they were so pleased with my deliverables that I am now their in-house event photographer. After a poor networking experience last month left a sour taste in my mouth, I was inspired to write an entire blog post on how to network better.
