Camp Sacramento Wedding | Lake Tahoe, CA | Carla + Kurtis

Carla and Kurtis are AMAZING people.  They moved to Tahoe a few years ago and because they both work in the medical field, befriended a mutual bestie of mine, who in turn, introduced me to them.  They are vivacious, full of energy and enthusiasm, adventurous spirits that LOVE to dance.  They wanted a huge raging dance party that could go late into the night with no interruptions and all their friends and family on site, which is a tall order for a wedding.  Cue the solution: a Camp Sacramento wedding.  Camp Sacramento is located just outside of Lake Tahoe, CA in Twin Bridges, and is a family camp and conference center that has been serving residents of the Sacramento Valley and beyond since 1920.

The budget wedding was completely DIY, save the catering, which was handled by the Camp Staff.  Their friends and family stayed on site in cabins and brought sleeping bags and gear.  The wedding party got ready in cabins surrounded by chaos, tequila and bunk beds.  We ate dinner in the great hall and breakfast in the dining hall, traditional trays included.  Everything about it was perfect and after I finished my job, I too raged on the dance floor until the wee hours of the night, falling into my sleeping bag a disheveled sweaty happy mess.
