Welcome to Snowglobe!   Day 2 of Snowglobe 2014 was the best day of the entire event.  “But Lauren,” you might say, “the festival isn’t over yet.”  Or perhaps, “slow your roll, girl, and save some for New Years!”  All things being said, I firmly stand behind my statement.  If you missed Phantogram’s dark glorious set filled with cold breathy vocals from Sarah Barthel and the lush disco heavy beats of Classixx, then my friend, you sorely missed out.  There is no way that anything that happens today can compare to the awesomeness of yesterday. Fact.

Today is the last and final day of Snowglobe Music Festival.  There are more photos from last night’s event below, along with my recommendations of who to catch on the last day of the festival while you ring in the New Year!  Single day tickets for New Year’s Eve are sold out but the schedule is available on their website.

  • Cherub: Main Stage, 5:00-6:00.  Sexy electro-pop duo that is guaranteed to produce a high energy dance party.  The Nashville, TN based members of Cherub, Jordan Kelley and Jason Huber, share a love for honest original music and vibrant live performance.  For fans of: MGMT, Milky Chance, Capital Cities.
  • Slaptop: Sierra Tent, 5:15-6:15.  Groovy disco house beats for everyone who loves the warmth of dancing in the California sun.  For fans of: Voyage, Chromeo, Amtrac.
  • Atmosphere: Main Stage, 9:30-10:30.  I am a huge fan of Atmosphere.  The duo is always a joy to photograph and I’m looking froward to another great time with them on the stage riling the crowd up with their infectious blend of spoken word, stories and hip-hop.  The duo from Minneapolis comprised of Sean Daley, otherwise known as Slug, and DJ/Producer Anthony “Ant” Davis.  For fans of: Swollen Members, Dilated Peoples, Aesop Rock
