This is my friend Phil. He smirks when Ana laughs. Phil is from Gardnerville and grew up in the small town outside Tahoe.
The two have been friends for many years before becoming a couple, skiing our home mountain, Kirkwood. They were wed in an absolutely perfect Gardnerville backyard wedding at their own home, filled with side splitting laughs, a vintage car with sweet hydrolics, portraits at their friends nearby ranch, house wine from local favorite J.T. Basque Restaurant, and dance-worthy tunes from our favorite local DJ, Dave Berkman. Even more impressive, however, was the permanent structure of a backdrop that Phil and his friends built for my photo booth: it was absolutely ridiculous and shall put all other photo booths to shame for all of eternity.
I’m so excited for Ana and the little family of chickens and dogs these two people have happily carved out for themselves. My biggest wish for my two good friends is that they are able to ski into their happy future in the killer winter that Tahoe and our mountains had better have this year! Sent it!
