I’ve now photographed two (YES! TWO!) full and large post pandemic weddings in all their glory: Anna and Harrison’s amazing second line filled New Orleans wedding, and Whitney and Steve’s Sugar Bowl wedding, which will be coming to this blog VERY soon.  Until then, I have an amazing wedding to share that somehow never made it to the blog.

Sam and Patrick recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary on May the 4th so that seems like a perfectly good reason to finally share images from their Haue Valley Wedding in St. Louis, MO.  Sam grew up in St. Louis and her father was actually one of my former co-workers at Pearl Izumi, which made this wedding all the more special. My dear friend Nicky accompanied, per usual, out to St. Louis where we spent the week visiting friends, dining, touring breweries, and climbing through tunnels at the famed City Museum.

Sam and Patrick appropriately had a sprinkling of Star Wars References all over their day, paying homage to their “May the 4th be with You” wedding date. Their dance floor was a riot and they had a KILLER photo booth thanks to Applause Productions.  I had previously photographed their engagement session in central Colorado, so working with them for a second time was an absolute breeze. Sam had joked with me that her dad was so adamant that she hire me as her wedding photographer that it was just “a really good thing that I was so talented because [she] didn’t have a choice!”  I will take that compliment and run with it.

Here are WAY too many images from their Haue Valley wedding but I guess that’s just another sign that I’m good at my job.  So good, in fact, that the lovely folks over at Peer Space recently put me on a list of the 11 Best Wedding Photographers in Reno/Tahoe.  Why 11?  I can only assume it’s because we all go to 11.
