Round Hill Pines Wedding | Laura and Hayden

Laura and Hayden came to me by way of Hannah and Steve. Although their Round Hill Pines wedding was perfect it every way, it was the 4th or 5th iteration of their plan. I originally photographed just their engagement session while they tried to decide what they wanted their wedding to look like. Did they want a Tahoe beach wedding? Did they want to elope? Did they want to get married in Europe? The plan they finally landed on was a Round Hill Pines wedding in early June in Lake Tahoe.

Laura and Hayden’s wedding came complete with a handful of the very same people that made Hannah and Steve’s dancefloor so epic and for that I was grateful – y’all know I love an epic dance party! And although it was more than a bit overcast that day, and temps were slightly chilly, and the wind tried to carry Hannah’s veil away, spirits weren’t dampened in the least. And it made for an absolutely perfect reason to slide that custom made jean jacket on for sunset portraits.

Not pictured: their dogs, who they both love VERY much and weren’t a part of their day. I promise we’ll make that happen soon y’all! Pictured: lots and lots of fun, laughter and smiles. Oh, and my personal favorite – gorgeously overcast skies. A Round Hill Pines wedding is one of my favorite beach wedding venues in Lake Tahoe for a reason – they do an incredibly competent job, the food is excellent, the new patio and grill is fantastic, and they give you a private beach location for your event with a perfect backdrop of Lake Tahoe. What does perfect mean to me? It’s private, it’s not filled with boats in the background, and there’s great scale because of the inlet of trees and rocks in the foreground that give scope and scale to the great expanse of the beautiful place I live in.
