I know I talk about it a lot but I LOVE backyard weddings.  I love the simplicity.  I love the camaraderie.  I love the uniqueness.  I love that people make it their own.  I love that there are usually long tables with family style dining and open seating plans.  I love dancing under twinkle lights and stars.  I love the lawn games and less formal attire and summery cocktails.

Lisa and Hanna’s Backyard LGBT+ Wedding was all of these things and more. It was held on the west shore of Lake Tahoe at a family friend’s AMAZING estate that felt almost like an adult summer camp.  There were all things rainbow included and all my favorite vendors, like my own personal hairdresser, Katie White from Tahoe Salon Be, and the best catering around,  Blend.  Everything else was DIY – from the rainbow streamers to take-home enamel pins representing Pride and Lake Tahoe that still live on my favorite denim jacket.

The ceremony took place on the lawn overlooking Lake Tahoe while the dinner was served family style, at long tables on the drive way under outdoor commercial string lights. Cocktails were had and lawn games were played.  It was nothing short of perfect and everything you could want a backyard LGBT+ wedding to be.  I am so incredibly happy to finally post images from this wedding in celebration of Pride month.
