With crystal clear blue waters, the mountain backdrop of Lake Tahoe, and white sandy beaches, Sand Harbor State Park is one of the best locations on Lake Tahoe to elope or have a small intimate wedding.  Siobhan and Jeremy planned to elope at Sand Harbor State Park.  Tahoe is incredibly important to these two, who now reside in Sacramento, because they met at the Tahoe Beach Retreat and Hotel in the bar in South Lake Tahoe one fateful night while Jeremy was bartending.  The rest, as they say, is history.

Jeremy and Siobhan planned a small, intimate event in the middle of the day for their wedding.  They wanted their immediate family present only and then they had an extended, larger reception that evening at Himmel Haus in South Lake Tahoe. It was the perfect combination – a little bit of rage later in the evening, with a beautiful perfectly picturesque ceremony at Sand Harbor State Park.  Siobhan is one of FIVE sisters AND she’s a twin!  I had such a blast with her incredibly kind and generous family of females – they were full of fun, laughter and champagne – and you know that’s my jam!

Jeremy is best friends with one of my very good friends, Ed, and it was thanks to Ed and my friend Mike that we were all connected.  I felt so lucky to have found this rad couple and spent the day with them.  Jeremy and Siobhan – it was an honor to capture your memories, but next time, I’d like to come to Greece also to capture that because your honeymoon on Greek Islands looked out of this world incredible.

Sand Harbor State Park is one of my favorite venues for a Lake Tahoe elopement.  They make it an absolute breeze and of all of the beach locations in Lake Tahoe to wed, it’s one of the most budget friendly that has the greatest amount of privacy.  Located on the north eastern shores of the lake, Sand Harbor is home to those world famous granite rock formations that are often seen in all the most picturesque and gorgeous tourism photos of Lake Tahoe.  With giant boulders, snow capped mountains, and plenty of space you can Elope at Sand Harbor State Park with a picture perfect background.  Sand Harbor State Park is also home to my FAVORITE Tahoe summer activity: the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival!  When you plan to elope at Sand Harbor State Park, you get use of the beach, surrounding area and the party gazebo, complete with grills and shade for your reception needs.

Incline Village, NV is the perfect location for a destination wedding.  With it’s abundance of airbnbs, VRBOs, and other vacation rental options, along with the Hyatt Regency and Reno just a short drive away, Incline Village offers plenty of housing for your destination Tahoe wedding. In addition to Sand Harbor State Park, Incline Village boasts a number of beautiful wedding venues, including the Chateau at Incline Village, the Aspen Grove Community Center (my favorite!), the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, and Northstar Ski Resort.  Want to know more about getting married in North Lake Tahoe or Incline Village?
