September thru November may just be my favorite months to attend weddings. While the summer reigns here in Tahoe for wedding season, in the south, where I’m originally from, the opposite months are the best for weddings. If I get to be a wedding guest in Texas, I want it to be in the fall! The summer heat has finally relented and temperatures begin to drop into something that makes it much more tolerable to spend an evening outdoors. Not only is the weather more comfortable, but the beauty that the fall season showcases cannot be matched. Not even for the pretty blooms of spring. Planning a wedding for the fall gives you an abundance of color schemes to work with. The fall wedding colors of the changing season set up a majestic backdrop ideal for any wedding theme. Here are 3 fall color schemes trending now.
One of the most prominent signs that fall is finally here is the arrival of all things pumpkin spice; pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin spice popcorn, pumpkin spice hand soap, pumpkin spice martinis. You know what’s up. I know you a secret basic bitch! It’s decorative gourd season motherfuckers!
Given the popularity of pumpkin spice, it’s no wonder that one of the most popular fall wedding color schemes is a pumpkin spice palette. Colors like brown, burnt orange, gold, and beige make for perfect color combinations for Fall. Consider these colors when choosing your flowers. Orange Dahlias and Orange Gerbera Daisy’s are popular choices and will blend right in with Ivory colored Lillies. Orange pumpkins and ivory gourds would also make for great table centerpieces to continue the look and help you revel in the fact that you’re not afraid to be basic.
Candy Apple Red
Every Halloween, in the neighborhood I grew up in, one of my neighbors would pass out candy apples instead of regular bagged candy. The neighborhood kids loved it. Candy apples still make me nostalgic for the fall season in my childhood. Every time I see a red candy apple, I’m transported right back to cool weather and Wonder Woman costumes. If I have these sort of memories attached to that color, I know there are others. That may be why Candy Apple Red, is one of the big trending fall wedding colors. You could seriously not ask for a wedding color that pops more than this deep red. To incorporate this theme consider beige or tan linens with red napkins or centerpieces that include a white vase with mums or complimentary colored pom flowers. For a sweet dessert favor, you may even consider serving candy apples alongside your cake. While you’re at it, throw some pumpkins out and about.
Blush & Red
If straight candy apple red is too much for your tastes, tone it down a bit with the perfect fall wedding color combination of blush and red. A color palette of red, gold, and shades of pink create a beautifully bright theme in contrast to darker fall colors. If you are looking to brighten up the season a bit, this color theme might be the right one for you. Consider adding red touches to an ivory wedding dress or place blush pink roses in a vase with flowers that have big green leaves. For a little drama maybe try out Gold Chiavari chairs for your tables. Camelot Party Rentals in Reno is one local rental shop with chair options that would work well with this theme.
