Lake Tahoe Wedding Photographer

Be loud. Be bold.
Be colorful. Be yourself.
Lauren Lindley Photography believes that life is best lived in color. Capture YOUR moments with photos that reflect your day’s unique energy.
I am a bold, obstreperous personality that likes to capture people in their element: either doing what they love or with the ones they love. I’m here for the sweet or the wild, for the tame or the raucous, for the fun loving or the introspective, for the quiet or the loud. I’m here for the elegant evenings or the backyard bbq weddings. I’m here for YOU and I believe that your photos should reflect not just the energy of your day, but the shared experience of the people you celebrate it with. I’m here if you want to get married in Medieval Times, or at a summer camp, or in a historic highrise in San Francisco.
My photos are:
Natural ⏺ Candid ⏺ Energetic ⏺ Vibrant ⏺ Timeless ⏺ Quirky
I believe that your real life isn’t posed and that you should spend the majority of your wedding day with the people you love. As a wedding photographer, I’m like a colorful pinata filled with joy and sarcasm, capturing your special day in a style that’s vibrant, bold, and full of fun. My images are sometimes funny, often unexpected, and always packed with personality. I believe that a wedding day should be full of laughter, love, and happy tears, and my photography reflects that ethos. I pride myself on efficiency, being relaxed, and allowing your day to unfold naturally. I try to only step in when necessary, or when I think you need a little bit of direction. Because we all need a little help sometimes.
With an eye for color and a passion for capturing the most candid moments, I’m the perfect photographer to help you tell your unique love story. So let’s grab a margarita, break out the confetti, and get ready to create some unforgettable memories that will make you smile for years to come.
Lake Tahoe Wedding Photography and Beyond
Lauren Lindley is a Lake Tahoe wedding photographer available for wedding photography in the Reno Tahoe Area and worldwide. My Lake Tahoe wedding photography and destination wedding photography packages are fully customizable and are based on an hourly rate of $800/hour. Packages begin at $5200.
I have been a full-time Lake Tahoe wedding photographer for over 13 years now and photographed over 500 weddings and elopements in locations all over the US, a handful in Mexico, and even in Bolivia!
I recognize that not all weddings are lavish affairs and I have a soft spot for small, informal weddings, elopements, or otherwise non-traditional weddings. I will always work with budgets if I feel you and your wedding are a right fit, but I do offer an hourly rate for elopements and weddings that are looking for quality photography at the price their budget allows.
My Lake Tahoe wedding photography packages include travel within the continental US. You read that right. Have camera, love travel! If you are getting married anywhere in the lower 48, everything is included. Passport required? No problem. Travel arrangements for Alaska, Hawaii, and outside the US are arranged on a case-by-case basis.

Giving Back as a Lake Tahoe Wedding Photographer
A portion of every wedding and portrait session booked will be donated to the non-profit of my choice for the year.

The Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe aims to empower all young people to reach their full potential by providing a safe place to learn and grow, ongoing mentorship relationships with caring adult professionals and volunteers, life-enhancing programs and character development experiences, and vital and necessary afterschool and summer programs, along with free meals. The club must raise $1000 for every day they are open. They service 300 children a day, year-round. 66% of the families served by our chapter live below the California poverty line, 88% are under 12, and 78% are from single-parent families. Through partnerships with other non-profits and businesses such as SOS Outreach, Live Violence Free, and Vail Resorts, they are able to offer activities that these children wouldn’t normally have access to, such as skiing at Kirkwood, Heavenly Discovery Days, Girls Empowerment programs, free theater performances and more! The executive director of our local chapter of the Boys and Girls Club is a client of mine and I’m thrilled to support a local non-profit for 2018.
Former Recipients
The Baltimore Dance Crews Project, a non profit created by Brian Gerardo, was my recipient for 2017. I was connected to Brian through my two 2016 grooms, Jack and Kyle. The Baltimore Dance Crew Project takes a multi-pronged approach to youth development by using hip hop dance to strengthen the relationships across generations. Students are not only engaging in dance, they’re forging relationships with older dancers who maintain careers outside of dance. The crew itself is a very necessary support network for disadvantaged and low income youth and has successfully forged positive relationships between peers and role models, leading to academic achievement, healthy lifestyles, and enhanced youth leadership.
Mary’s House was my 2016 donation recipient. Mary’s House is the creation of one of my 2015 brides, Jen Flynn. From 2008-2010, Jen lived in Vietnam as a volunteer aiding the impoverished and disadvantaged children of the country. When Jen returned home, she was inspired to do more and in January of 2012, Jen opened Mary’s House, named after her grandmother. Living in the home are 24 children ranging in age from 4-17 years old. The children come to Mary’s House through a referral by the local government. Although a few of them had a single parent or relative who had taken them in, many are orphaned and all are impoverished. Mary’s House provides them a safe, loving home environment with consistent nutrition, education, and health care.
Hope Shines was my 2015 donation recipient. Hope Shines, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2007 that provides disadvantaged children in Rwanda both local and foreign mentoring and support through programs focusing on education, nutrition and health. Hope Shines was founded on the belief that every child should be given the opportunity for a healthy, happy life both in mind and body and HOPE for a bright future. Two of my 2014 wedding clients, Dan and Stephanie, are the executive director and the medical advisor for the organization.

Tahoe Edgewood Wedding | Anna + Garrett
After over a decade together, Anna and Garrett decided to finally get hitched. Self-described as admittedly "not-wedding-people," what they wanted most of all was a huge party to celebrate with the people they love most and that's exactly what their Tahoe Edgewood Wedding was! There was plenty of polka, lots of liquor and an overwhelmingly relaxed day.
How to prioritize what photos are important to you on your wedding day
I’m glad we found each other to be a good fit for your wedding day. Seriously, nothing brings me more joy than being on the same wavelength as my clients. After we’ve met, covered the basics and some logistics, we need to talk expectations about day-of photos. This is something you’ll want to take time to think about and discuss with your partner (and family, if they’re involved). For example, everyone has different expectations about first looks. Let’s make sure we’re clear on these with plenty of time to spare so your day can be worry-free. Here are my general recommendations (based on many years of experience in the wedding photography industry) on how to prioritize what photos are important to you on your wedding day.
Hideout Wedding | Kirkwood, CA | Nicole + David
There's something so magical and incredibly unusual about living in a town where it's sometimes snows so much that two cars cannot drive down one road at the same time. When the snow banks that are taller than your car it feels both eerie and thrilling. When the street lights shine on new snow while you're driving down a quiet dark nighttime road, you get straight up fucking giddy because you know what it's like to jump off of a cliff into powder and whether you landed or not, it's still an exhilarating experience. This may seem like a strange way to start out a wedding blog, but I know that Nicole and David completely understand THIS feeling acutely. It's a passion for exploration and adventure and the shared experience that Tahoe provides.
Revive Coffee and Wine Backyard Wedding | Matt + Elizabeth
Neither a pandemic, nor a fire, could derail Elizabeth and Matt's plans. After two reschedules, three dates, and a fire evacuation, Elizabeth and Matt finally had the backyard garden wedding of the dreams and I would be apt to say that the phrase "third time's a charm" is perfectly applicable here.
Edgewood Tahoe Wedding | Amanda + Luke
Sometimes I get things REALLY wrong and Luke and Amanda's Edgewood Tahoe wedding was one of these things. I had a preconceived expectation for their event: I didn't think it was going to be very rowdy, I didn't expect them to be big partiers AT ALL, and over all I just sort of expected this quiet very subdued fancy pants Edgewood wedding. BOY WAS I WRONG. Read all about it the big surprise of the night here!
Plumpjack Inn Wedding | Sonni + Forest | Olympic Valley, CA
There was dancing and there was singing. And then there was more dancing and then there was more singing. And ultimately, there was dancing and singing all over the place at an absolutely hilarious and epic Plumpjack Inn Wedding. The only thing we could have used less of: ..... wind. Did you think I was going to say "dancing and singing"?? NEVER. There's never too much of that!
