Reno Tahoe Event Photographer
Lake Tahoe is my permanent home, and Reno is just down the road. While I live in Tahoe year round, about 75 percent of my work takes me across the country photographing corporate events in cities like Austin, Las Vegas, Chicago, and New Orleans. That national experience gives me a skill set and perspective that most local photographers, who primarily focus on weddings, simply don’t bring to the table. When you hire me as your Reno Tahoe event photographer, you get both the advantage of a local who knows the region inside and out and the expertise of a corporate event photographer trusted by brands nationwide.
Corporate Events in Reno / Lake Tahoe
This region offers unmatched variety. From the high-capacity Atlantis Casino Resort or the Grand Sierra Resort to the resort-style properties and lakeside venues of Tahoe like the Everline, I’ve photographed large-scale conventions, destination conferences, nonprofit galas, and multi-day leadership retreats here.
As a Reno Tahoe event photographer, my focus is always on efficiency in busy spaces, including covering keynote speakers, sponsor activations, and networking in large exhibit halls. In Lake Tahoe, I incorporate the natural surroundings into your imagery, blending professional coverage with the sense of place that makes your event unforgettable.
My Local Advantage
Because I live in Tahoe year round, I understand the weather patterns, lighting conditions, and seasonal considerations that out of town photographers might miss. I also know how to navigate venue access, parking, and timing so your schedule runs smoothly and stress free.
At the same time, about 75 percent of my work is corporate events outside Tahoe. That means I bring a higher level of event knowledge and experience than most local photographers, who primarily focus on weddings. My clients trust me to deliver at conferences, trade shows, and brand activations nationwide, and I bring that same efficiency, speed, and professionalism as a local Reno Tahoe Event Photographer.
Why Clients Bring Me Back
Working with the same photographer across multiple events and locations eliminates the learning curve. I already know your brand, your must-have shots, and your event’s unique flow. That means less oversight for you and faster, more on-point results for your marketing, press, and sponsorship needs.
Whether it’s a high-energy trade show in Reno or a multi-day leadership retreat on the shores of Lake Tahoe, you’ll get the same speed, professionalism, and brand-focused results you’ve come to expect from me anywhere in the country.
Seasonal Event Tips for Lake Tahoe
One of the advantages of hiring a Reno Tahoe event photographer is knowing how the seasons affect everything from lighting to logistics. Tahoe is beautiful year-round, but each season comes with its own considerations:
Winter (December–March) Snow can create magical backdrops for corporate retreats and incentive trips, but it also means building in extra travel time and having indoor contingency plans for weather. Lighting changes quickly in winter, so I plan shot lists and timing carefully to make the most of available daylight.
Spring (April–June) Spring brings longer days and fewer crowds, making it ideal for multi-day conferences or team-building retreats. The weather can be unpredictable, so I prepare for both indoor and outdoor shooting opportunities.
Summer (July–September) Summer is Tahoe’s peak season, with clear skies, warm evenings, and endless outdoor venue options. This is also when traffic and visitor numbers are highest, so timing, travel, and logistics are key and something I manage with precision as a local.
Fall (October–November) Fall offers crisp air, golden aspens, and quieter venues. It’s a favorite for leadership retreats and smaller-scale events, with a balance of great light and fewer scheduling conflicts.
No matter the season, living here year-round means I can anticipate challenges, choose the best spots for your brand’s look, and ensure your event is captured beautifully and efficiently.

SXSW Survival Tips: How to Survive SXSW | Part 2
SXSW, otherwise known as my absolute favorite 10 days of the year, every year, is an annual convergence of technology, film, and music in Austin, Texas. It's 10 days of thriving on adrenaline and chaos. It's a beacon of creativity and innovation. Drawing attendees from diverse industries worldwide, it's unparalleled popularity can certainly be attributed to the dynamic blend of cutting-edge technology showcases, an extensive list of film premieres, and my favorite - the off-the-beaten-path version of its music festival which celebrates and heralds unsigned and new artists. As promised, I'm back with part II in my series on how to survive SXSW like a pro with more SXSW survival tips.
How to Survive SXSW | Part 1
75,000 people are about to descend upon Austin, TX for SXSW, one of the world's premier music, film and tech festivals. While SXSW is mostly known for its music festival, what really brings the money to Austin (and $350 million plus of it at that), is the Interactive portion, which draws a young audience of inventors, investors and risk takers looking for networking opportunities and the next big thing. At any given moment all over the city there are thousands of opportunities to learn, network, workshop and cultivate relationships. For over 12 years now, I've been working for the Sales Department at the event, as a client event photographer responsible for documenting the return on investment for their sponsors. It's exhausting. It's exhilarating. It's incredibly fun. If you're attending for the first time and looking for some answers on how to survive SXSW, I got you boo.

Every summer, the serene Zephyr Lodge in Liberty Lake, WA, transforms into the vibrant epicenter of the Stone Family Field Trip—a weekend filled with music, connection, and unforgettable moments.
