It seems like there is light at the end of the tunnel and events are starting to be planned again. I walked into Heather and Evan's Sand Harbor microwedding not quite knowing what to expect. It's one of my favorite ways to roll into a wedding day: with a little bit of mystery and excitement over the unknown. When I arrived, I gauged from their friends and family that were already gathered EXACTLY what the day was going to be like: full of relaxed laughter, good natured ribbing, and rapidly flowing alcohol. Thunderbird Lodge is an incredibly special place: it's located on the north east side of Lake Tahoe, near Incline Village. It’s one of the oldest estates on the lake and the original owner was eccentric, to put it mildly. The estate is one of a kind, both in story and physical presence. It's one of my favorite places on Lake Tahoe to photograph weddings and I'm overjoyed to revisit this gorgeous and classic Thunderbird Lodge wedding from 2018.
Like many couples, Sam and Bree faced challenges when planning and de-planning their wedding in 2020.
